Kay
and I are so very happy that Scooter was able to come and live with us. We have
attached his first picture, of many to come, and also share some of his first
experiences. Scooter had a name change to Spencer. The first stop after leaving
your home was an all expense paid trip to Pet Smart. Spencer sat in the shopping
cart and pointed to all the play toys that he wanted to take for a test chew. We
didn’t want to spoil him, but couldn’t resist the opportunity. He picked out a
new stainless steel water dish and food dish with a wrought-iron stand, which is
quite masculine. Next was the perfect Kennel and sheep-skin mat. Of course a new
collar was in order and had to be orange and black. Even though it does not have
OSU on it, it is a genuine Harley-Davidson collar with matching leash. After the
shopping spree, we went to meet his niece, Tobie Ann. They zoomed around Tobie’s
back yard and had a great time. Now Spencer wants to tell about his arrival and
first days at his forever home…

as you can see he needs a little help with his grammar and spelling so here goes the translation…
I
was really tired the first night and fell asleep with my new dad in the great
big bed. Easter morning was cold but I was a brave boy and ventured outside to
check out my very own back yard. I zoomed around and sniffed and chewed
everything just to make sure it wasn’t a dream! Mom and Dad and I played all day
and had the time of our lives! My new parents are great... (Spencer didn’t put
this in his story, but I had to at least add a little human back patting).
Monday my Mom went to work and Dad took me to his office so I could help him
with email and phone calls, and all that kind of stuff. Dad made sure we had
time to play and that I took my nap. After work Dad took me to meet Dr. Kostid,
my very own Veterinarian. Dr. Kostid checked me out and made my very own file.
He told me I was very handsome and will be a fine Westie!
I really am happy and want my Oklahoma Westie Rescue family to know that I am so lucky to have had them for my temporary family. Thank you.
