Hello
everyone my name is Tuffy Tyree
I would like to share with you my story
of how I came to my forever home. I was born on a very cold
and icy day in January. The people who had my mom either
didn’t know or didn’t care that my mom had her litter outside
in the frigid weather, cause by the time they did anything
about it I was the only baby out of four to survive. That was
the dark times. The day the people from Oklahoma Westie Rescue
saved my mom and me, I was five weeks old and only weighed
fourteen ounces. My foster mom Meredith and my foster dad Mike
put in a lot of work, love and long hours to see that I would
not only survive but also thrive in their household. It was
touch and go for a little while, but my foster dad knew I was
a fighter and gave me the name Tuffy. As the days passed into
weeks I began putting on weight, I was still smaller than most
pups my age, but that didn’t stop me from getting into
mischief and I made sure that if I needed attention (food)
that everyone in the house knew it.
Well
the time was coming when I would need to leave my foster home
for my forever home. My foster mom and dad wanted to be sure I
went to the right people. There was a nice couple that helped
a little with Oklahoma Westie Rescue and always made time to
see and cuddle with me whenever they came by. So I decided
that I wanted them for my mom and dad. With the help of a
special picture of me, my own puppy magic, I ended up going to
their home in March 2007. My foster parents were very happy I
went here so they can watch me grow into a fine Westie lady,
well at least I will look the part, I am very much a tom pup
and love to still get into mischief. I now have a brother
(Bailey Shay), and two sisters (Gracie Lou) & (Shayla Wynne)
and two loving parents. A pup couldn’t ask for anything more.
I love to go for walks, play with toys and I have never met a
treat I didn’t like.
