Happy Endings - Monte

My name is Monte and about a month ago I was adopted by a family in Edmond, Oklahoma. I met my big sister Gracie (who is also a Westie) for the first time when my foster family brought me to my new home. Even though Gracie outweighs me by almost 10 pounds (and I am no little guy myself weighing in at 18 pounds) and is older and wiser than me I have managed to do a very good job of convincing her to get into mischief with me. I got her to help me dig a hole in the backyard so we could try to go visit the Yorkie next door. It didn’t work though because our parents caught us and made us have a bath which I didn’t like at all. I am very scared of the water but my sister doesn’t mind bath time at all and loves to get blow dried when she is done so hopefully I will learn to like it just like her.

When I first got to my new home I had a few problems learning to use the doggie door to go potty outside but I have that down now. I was also scared that my new parents were going to hurt me so I wouldn’t let them hug me very much. I now know that all they want to do is pet me and snuggle with me so that’s not so bad. I have also figured out that jumping up on the furniture is lots of fun. My favorite activity though is when Gracie and I get to go visit my aunt Cheyanne. Cheyanne is bigger than us because she is a Chow/German Shepherd mix but she loves to play chase and wrestle in the grass with me and Gracie.

I am so glad that OWR found me and I got a new home where my parents love me and spoil me rotten!
