Loretta Lynn...What words express the joy this puppy has brought to our lives? We have adopted 4 other Westies - Beth and I love all of them to death. We have also fostered a few that stole our hearts too, but for some reason they all seem to become Beth's babies. In the beginning, the dogs will follow both of us equally, but before you know it, they sense that Beth is the "dog person." I have always been a "cat person," until now. Loretta Lynn has stolen my heart.

Now, when I leave for work, Loretta cries at the front door. When I come home, she does the "Westie Jig." Beth says it was love at first sight and I have to agree. She is my dog from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed. She follows me everywhere I go. She sits with me when I read the paper - either in the middle of my lap or on the ottoman with her head resting on my legs. She runs in circles wagging her tail when I sing to her. She sleeps snuggled up next to me and awakens me with lots of puppy kisses.

We lovingly joked about her crossed eyes, bowed legs, overly long curled tail, wiry coat and bitten off ear when we first got her. Now we know she is the most beautiful Westie there is. Our hearts are forever joined and I have realized I can love a dog as much as a cat!!
