Happy Endings - Kye

Hi. My name is Kye. I was put up for adoption by a loving family that couldn't keep me due to a growing number of "human" babies in the home. I was adopted by a new mom and dad who came to see me this April at the Scottish Games in Yukon. After I met with them and their Westie, Celi, (pronounced "K"eli) I went home to Lawton with them. That's me with my new dad while mom is holding my new sister.

I was adopted to not only to be a new family member, but to assist Celi with her need for stimulation and exercise. She has White Shaker Syndrome and takes medication that makes her want to sleep and sleep. I have gotten her out into the yard to play tag and she has introduced me to the many squirrels that come through my new back yard. I have also discovered her many, many squeak toys. I love to tear them apart to find the squeaker. My new sister, Celi, doesn't mind sharing her toys with me. She has scolded me on occasion, but we are still good friends and buddies.

While I haven't been in the home for very long, my new mom and dad love me very much and I really love them and my new sister. I get long walks almost daily, and I have a huge back yard in which to play and chase those pesky squirrels. I also like running up and down the stairs in my new home.

I discovered gardening the other day. Digging holes in the flower beds is soooo much fun; however, it does get me fussed at...but nothing serious. Another fun thing to do is bark at skate boarders as they go down the drainage canal next to my back yard. My sister taught me how to do this.

I just know that I have found a home where I can grow old along with my sister. And who knows, perhaps other Westies will come and live here.
