Happy Endings - Jaime

I am fine. I am happy here. I am getting used to John. I still prefer Jayne but I am liking him a little more each day.

Did I tell you they got me a spiffy new red collar? It has a matching leash. And Jayne even got me one of those dog tags with my name on it.

And did you know I have a microchip in my shoulder? Jayne felt it when she was petting me once and the vet confirmed it. I couldn't remember when I got it. Guess it didn't hurt much or I would have remembered it.

Well, let's see what else. They got me a chew toy and my very own teddy bear. It squeaks and I really like it. I sleep on the bed with J & J. (I am SO mistreated) The bed is pretty high for me so I use the ottoman at the end to boost myself up. Jayne used to lift me but now I can get there myself.

There is a cat that lives here. Her name is Magic. She hated me for a day or so. I just ignored her 'cause I knew she would come around and like my charming personality. We are playmates now. We chase each other a couple of times a day. She always runs to the swivel rocker. She thinks I can't see her when she is there but I can. I walk by and she taps me on the head. I know she was there and am just playing a game of hide and seek. Stupid cat.

I have a nice back yard all my own. I like to spend a few minutes in the fresh air each day. After my initial escape I have never gotten out again.

I guess that is about it. I am happy and send my love to you and all the humans who helped me get away from that awful place.
Jaime
P.S. Jayne has thought of changing my name but hasn't hit on the
perfect one yet. And then I would have to become used to it . I still
perk up best to "Here Puppies". :) (That's how Gwen called the dogs)
