To Oklahoma Westie Rescue:

My husband and I decided to adopt Izzy in late May. We had been looking for a companion to our other furry child, Nellie (a Cairn Terrier). There were a couple of other dogs that we considered, but Izzy stole our hearts. The moment that Izzy arrived in our house, she took over and let us know that SHE was the new dog in town! Nellie is such a mellow dog compared to Izzy—who is ready to play anywhere, anytime.

Izzy has had great fun exploring our big yard and barking at the Labradors next door. Her other great passion is to dig up my new hydrangea bush in pursuit of our resident mole! Izzy is finding lots of new friends in the resident birds, lizards, frogs and toads. She continually leads Nellie into misadventure and it isn’t unusual to see both of them with dirty faces and paws from digging a new hole.

Izzy has brought great joy to our lives in the midst of tragedy. My wonderful mother passed away recently from pancreatic cancer. Izzy has been right by my side and willing to cuddle with me whenever I am feeling sad.

Izzy will do anything to please us and is a wonderful addition to our family.
