Happy Endings - Gracie

Hello everyone,
I am Gracie Lou McDonald, the young lady in the pink collar. The young gentleman on the swing with me is my brother Bailey. Well enough about him. This is my story of how I got to my forever home. As far as I remember I have always been at a breeder kennel. I lived to make more little Westies. I won’t go into the details of my life there, as they are not pleasant to remember.

My real life began the day my breeder released me to the nice ladies of Oklahoma Westie Rescue. When they got me I weighed only 10.6 lbs, I didn’t walk real well and I didn’t know how to run at all. I met my forever family shortly after being picked up. My new mom and dad were even there for my first real bath. It was hard for them to imagine that underneath all that dirt was a little white dog, but several baths later my coat shines. After my baths now my tail wags, it’s so good to be clean. The people of OWR saw to it that I got to see a vet to insure that if there were any medical needs I would get them.

Since coming to my new home and being with my brother Bailey. I have learned to run, play, enjoy good food (I still get a bit fussy about anyone getting near my food), and I have a nice soft comfy bed to sleep in. I have enjoyed going to puppy parks and visiting with OWR families and their Westies. Mom and Dad comment on how much more my tail wags and how I enjoy romping with my brother. I am looking forward to this new life and adventures with my family.
