My
name is Angie. I am 6 years old. For my whole life I lived
with my twin sister, Molly, and a human lady. That is, all my
life until this summer. Then lots of things happened to
Molly
and me. Our human lady went away forever, and we went to live with Westie Rescue people. These Westie Rescue people
are very nice and said they would get us a forever home. My
sister is a very nice dog except she doesn't like me to get
any petting from humans so she makes me go away and hide and
she gets all the petting. It made me very sad because I am a
nice dog, too, and I want some petting. So the Rescue people
decided Molly and I should each get our own home away from
each other.
Well, I got what I always
wanted.....humans of my own! Cathy and Melvin let me come live
with them. They told me I can stay here forever. I am the only
dog at our house so nobody chases me away.
Best of all Cathy and
Melvin have been real easy to train. They rub my tummy
whenever I roll over on my back. They take me for a walk when
I carry my harness to the door. They give me a treat when I
look real cute or do something extra smart or good.
I was a little scared and
missed my sister at first, but that didn't last long. Now my
life is really good and I love it here. Everyone treats me
real nice. Nobody hits me or yells at me. I have my very own
door to the backyard so I can patrol the yard and chase birds
and squirrels any time I want. I go for a walk every day. I
have 2 beds just for me, and I sit on the couch by Cathy or
Melvin and watch TV. I really like to watch TV just like a
human (but I don't like shows with little kids screaming or
crying). I never chew up anything or have accidents in the
house. I love to explore in the flowerbeds and I don't mind
getting my face and feet dirty. Cathy says I am perfect except
for bringing in leaves and dirt on my feet. But best of all my
sister is not here to chase me away so I get petted and loved
on all the time! AND, my sister got a happy family of her own
- but that is another story......Thank you Westie Rescue! I
am one happy Westie!
