Adam, Westie, Oklahoma Westie RescueHi OWR - it's Adam! I wanted to send you an update and let you know how I'm doing. I have enclosed a couple of pictures of me to share with you. In the first one, I'm laying on my bed where I sleep every night and the second one, I'm in my daddy's lap where you can often find me in the evenings watching TV. I am loving my new home and have settled in so nicely. I'm not the slightest bit skittish any more and I'm navigating the stairs like a pro. I've even jumped on the couch a couple of times and didn't even realize I had done it! You see, I chase my sister Bianca through the house at high speeds and she jumps on the couch to escape me and sometimes I follow her up there in the heat of the moment. I don't normally jump on the furniture, but mommy and daddy always pick me up and put me up there with them. My sister is showing me all the ropes - how to bark at the neighbors dogs, how to potty outside, how to eat my food without being spoon fed - I've learned so much from her! We wrestle and play all the time. I love my squeaky toys, but my sister likes to chew holes in them and tear their stuffings out. Good thing we've got about 50 of them and mommy and daddy buy us new ones all the time! I'm also a HUGE love muffin. I'm kissing my mommy and daddy all the time and love to sit in their laps for hours on end and be rubbed. They have nicknamed me chubby hugs after the comic strip character because I give such great hugs. I didn't have the heart to tell them that chubby hugs is a cat, but I like the nickname all the same. I'm catching on to this outside potty thing very nicely too. My mommy gets so-o-o-o-o-o excited when I go outside, she gives me a treat and praises me profusely. Whatever makes her happy, ya know?

I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to you ladies for taking me in and getting me ready for a second chance at life. My fellow homeless Westie brothers and sisters are forever grateful to folks like you and the jobs you do. We can't begin to thank you enough!!!!
Hugs and kisses,
Adam (aka chubby hugs)
